As we come to the close of our 10 Days of Summer Reading Book Recommendations…

I hope you have found a few books worthy of your beach bag or backpack or e-reader or audiobook!  Amazing the many ways we can consume literature these days, isn’t it? This last book explores our personalities, using the Enneagram, an ancient personality typing system with an uncanny accuracy in describing how human beings are wired, both positively and negatively. In The Road Back to You Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile forge a unique approach―a practical, comprehensive way of accessing Enneagram wisdom and exploring its connections with Christian spirituality for a deeper knowledge of ourselves, compassion for others, and love for God.

As a life coach I have studied many behavioral style assessment tools over the years, yet while I had heard about the Enneagram, I hadn’t done much research on it.  When I read about it again on a blog post by Michael Hyatt, my interest was sparked so not only did I decide to add this to my reading list/research repertoire, I included the study guide so I could take a deep dive into this method.  I am fascinated with the psychology of behavior and why/how people do what they do, and I think it is crucial for personal understanding and development to learn as much as one can about themselves in order to both see and comprehend their thoughts, feelings and actions.  We have had a wide variety of book offerings on our recommendation list, and I felt this would round out the subject matters well.

Amazon writes about The Road Back to You:

Beginning with changes you can start making today, the wisdom of the Enneagram can help take you further along into who you really are―leading you into places of spiritual discovery you would never have found on your own, and paving the way to the wiser, more compassionate person you want to become.

I hope as you read The Road Back to You it will help you discover new characteristics about yourself and help you grow on the journey to your very best self.  CLICK HERE or on the image to get your copy in your favorite reading format today!  As always, please do comment below on your thoughts about this and all the other book recommendations we’ve offered in the last ten days, and do tell us of other books you’d like to recommend!
