And today I’m thankful for…

Wow – I didn’t realize what time it was, and when I looked up it was almost midnight, so by the time I post this it will probably be the 23rd, so you’ll be seeing two from me on Wednesday (unless you are up late like me)!

Today’s Thanksgiving Challenge topic for me is a simple one, but truly an important one for me.  I am incredibly grateful for the seasons, but especially Autumn.  This is my most favorite time of year.  Everything about it – the beauty of the changing leaves, the chill in the weather, the smell of fireplaces once again being lit… I could go on and on.  I’m not a big summer fan – sorry – I’m a mountain girl at heart, so trees and that side of nature bring me deep comfort and joy.  So when the weather changes my spirits rise, as does my energy level!  Plus if you do any kind of decorating, the fall is fantastic because you can decorate on September 1st and not have to switch out decorations again until the day after Thanksgiving, who doesn’t love that kind of longevity!

Yawn… I need to get some sleep (did I mention how lovely it is to have fresh air streaming in the windows so you need to really snuggle down under the cozy blankets to keep warm at night, which translates into better sleep) so I can get ready for all the prepping that needs to get done tomorrow for the big day on Thursday!  Are you all ready for Thanksgiving?
