Are you craving sweet or salty?

Here’s a quick and easy do-it-yourself recipe, and you have the choice of using either Epson salts, sea salt or sugar as the base for your scrub. It’s totally up to you! However you choose, it’s a lovely self-care practice to soothe and nurture those hard-working hands!

Ingredients:

— 1-1/2 cups either organic Epsom salt, organic fine sea salt
or organic sugar
— 1 cup doTERRA fractionated coconut oil
— 20 drops doTERRA Lavender essential oil
— 3-5 teaspoons organic 100% pure Vitamin E oil

Directions:

In a glass bowl, put in the dry base salts/sugar. Next, using a whisk, mix in the oils. Place in a glass container with a tight fitting lid.

Usage:

With dry hands, scoop about a teaspoon of the scrub into hands. GENTLY rub all over (as if you were washing your hands), then rinse lightly with warm water and pat dry. As an added bonus for especially dry hands, barely rinse off your hands to retain more of the oils, and after drying put on a pair of cotton gloves and allow the oils to deeply penetrate the skin overnight as you sleep. This scrub can also be used carefully on elbows, knees and feet. It is not recommended as a full body scrub as the granules of the salt/sugar are too harsh.

By the way, this makes a wonderful (and frugal) gift!
