Lavender can be used in many dishes and beverages!

First, let’s make an delicious Lavender Simple Syrup. Heat two cups each sugar and water, stir to dissolve. Add 2–3 drops of doTERRA lavender essential oil. Pour into a glass container; cover. Chill up to two weeks. Swirl syrup in ice tea or other refreshing beverages or drizzle over pancakes. It’s also great in lemonade.

If you prefer using honey instead of the sugar-based simple syrup, just mix a few drops of lavender oil in your favorite honey. I’m especially fond of Manuka honey.

When I’ve had a stressful day, I love coming home, getting into some comfy clothes, and settling down with a relaxing cup of Lavender Tea. It’s so easy — one drop of lavender oil in a cup of hot water, a spoonful or two of Manuka honey, and a splash of almond milk. You could also use the lavender honey in your favorite herbal or black tea.

Another way to use honey and lavender is to make a fragrant and delicious addition to your breakfast table: Lavender Honey Butter.

Mash together a stick of softened butter with 1 drop of doTERRA lavender essential oil, ½ teaspoon organic vanilla, and 2–3 tablespoons of honey. Spread butter on warm biscuits, scones, or toasted whole grain bread. It’s great on gluten free products as well.
